CW Weekly Ratings: July 21 - 25, 2014

Comedy is what is keeping the CW afloat this summer. WHOSE LINE IS IT ANY WAY? has been the only program to regularly draw a million, or more, viewers, week-in and week-out. Now, an encore of COLIN & BRAD: 2 MAN GROUP  post the best numbers of the week, outside of WHOSE LINE.

Original sitcoms BACKPACKERS and SEED were cancelled after their Monday night airing, posting one of the worst numbers for the CW, from an original episode program. But, the Thursday night combo of THE VAMPIRE DIARIES and THE ORIGINAL encores produced numbers just as bad as the original comedies.

For the week, the CW averaged 780,000 viewers and a 0.3 rating in Adults 18-49. That is up from last week, by 50% in the demo ratings and 18% in total viewership. The numbers are still bad, but the direction upward is a good sign, for once.
