Ratings Review: SURVIVING JACK (Season One)

Late mid-season comedies on FOX, rarely do well. They usually are placed in weak spots with little support. But, depending on your perspective, SURVIVING JACK was given a decent show with AMERICAN IDOL as the lead in. But, IDOL is now just a shadow of it's former self, and need help from other FOX programs.

The ratings were better than that of the major flop RAKE had been getting, before bing moved to Friday nights. The ratings were also better then the two Friday night comedies and, at times, were not far off from the Tuesday night comedies. But, FOX made the right call on this by having a minimum standard and cancelling the series.

For the season, SURVIVING JACK averaged 4.3 million viewers and a 1.1 rating in Adults 18-49, for the seven episodes that aired.
