Ratings Review: THE MIDDLE (Season Five)

It was another solid season for the ABC sitcom THE MIDDLE. The unsung comedy, that gets the ratings, with little fanfare. Through most of the season, the middle consistently drew 7.5 to 8.5 million viewers and a 2.0 rating in Adults 18-49.

This is one of the few series there is no DVR numbers available. But, given that, it indicates that those that watch the series, are at home on Wednesday nights. They make sure to watch it now, not later.

For the season, THE MIDDLE averaged 6.99 million viewers and a 1.8 rating in Adults 18-49, for the 33 airings, including 10 repeat episodes. Expect more of the same this fall as Season Six should be as consistent as season five.
