Ratings Review: THE BLACKLIST (Season One)

It is not an exaggeration to say that THE BLACKLIST is the biggest new series, in the last two years. Right off the bat, viewers were drawn into the characters of Reddington and Keen. it gives you a satisfying one off mystery of the week, while weaving in a season long story line that is just as mysterious.

The ratings for the blacklist remained strong through alamost the entire season run. Only the few weeks in January, without THE VOICE as a lead in, did the numbers dip lower than usual.

THE BLACKLIST is one of the strongest series in the LIVE+3 and LIVE+7 ratings, sometimes grabbing 6 million more viewers, over a week's time. Going from a strong 3 demo rating, in LIVE+SD, to an increase of nearly 80% is tremendous. not many shows can deliver good ratings in both Same Day and a Week later.

For the season, THE BLACKLIST averaged 10.01 million viewers and a 2.7 rating in Adults 18-49, over 25 airings, including three repeat episodes. THE BLACKLIST will soon become the flagship of the network. With a short start on Monday nights, the series will shift over to the more lucrative night of Thursday's to take on some of the big guns, like SCANDAL and ELEMENTARY.
