Ratings: Broadcast Finals for March 2, 2014

Sunday night was all ABC and all OSCARS. Between the live read carpet pre-show and the awards telecast, ABC posted the second best nightly ratings of the year, behind the Super Bowl, with an average of over 35.9 million viewers and a 10.3 rating in Adults 18-49. The show ran until after 11:30pm, Eastern Time.

The OSCARS scored 43.7 million viewers, up from last year's awards presentation and the best numbers in 10 years., The A18-49 ratings were mostly even, raising from a 13.0 to a 13.1 score. The big winner of the night was the blockbuster film GRAVITY, which took home 7 awards, including Best Director for Alfonso Cuarón.

Most of the rest of the night was in repeats, except 60 MINUTES and THE AMAZING RACE. Outside of the OSCARS, they were the best rated shows among the three remaining networks.
