Ratings Review: THE X FACTOR (Fall 2013)

It was a very bad year for THE X FACTOR. Season three was not a charm.

It is easy to blame the two weeks for the World Series as to why the ratings dropped like a rock, but remember, with almost no competition for two weeks, the start of the season was a big disappointment. Just 6.5 million viewers against repeats and summer shows? The two week break just gave viewers a chance to see how little they really need to follow THE X FACTOR, and when it returned, they did not.

For the season, THE X FACTOR averaged 5.68 million viewers and 17 rating in Adults 18-49, for the 26 episodes, including one clips episode. The viewers are telling FOX enough. They do not want anymore. The ratings agree, this series should be cancelled. But, it seems that FOX  may want to go another season with this series, if the rumors are to be believed.
