Ratings Review: SPLASH


Before SPLASH premiered on ABC, FOX had its own TV special with D-list stars diving. The ratings were pretty horrible. But, for some reason, viewers tuned into the season premiere of SPLASH and it pulled in pretty good numbers. 9 million viewers and a 2.6 demo rating. Unfortunately, the novelty wore of quickly and the rating were down 42% in viewers and 58% in the demo ratings, at the halfway mark of the season. At the end of the eight episode run, SPLASH became yet another reality series casualty.

For the season, SPLASH averaged 5 .68 million viewers and a 1.4 rating in Adults 18-49. However, it would never reach those numbers after the third episode.
