Ratings Review: SURVIVOR PHILIPPINES

It was beginning to look as if the fall 2012 edition of SURVIVOR was going to fizzel as the ratings slowly dropped from 11.4 million viewers for the premiere, to just 9.4 million for the Halloween edition. But the series was able to com back and grew the few remaining weeks and drew its best numbers of the season for the Sunday night finale, on December 16th.

The numbers for the finale could have been better, but the CBS NFL doubleheader ran extra long and the reunion show aired outside the prime time window.

After 25 editions of the game, SURVIVOR is still the standard for which all reality competition series are measured. It may not be as dominate in the ratings as it once was, but it can still outlast, outwit and outplay all others.
