US Box Office Results: July 14 - 16, 2017

The third movie of the PLANET OF THE APES franchise was this weekend's top grossing movie, hauling in a decent $56.5 million in its first three days of release. It is the second best opening of the three movies, topping the first release in 2011. But, it is a drop of $16 million from the last release, in 2014. The $15 million dollar movie should gross back its production budget, with the domestic take, with international receipts providing most of the profit for the movie.
