Preliminary Ratings: Sunday 07/09/2017

The series premiere of the game show, CANDY CRUSH, helped CBS edge out ABC for the win on Sunday night. The new series collected 4.1 million viewers and a 1.1 rating in the A18-49 demographic. Its retention out of BIG BROTHER was 63% in total viewers and 61% in the A18-49 demo. But, CANDY CRUSH did top FUNDERDOME, on ABC,  in all three demographic categories. BIG BROTHER was the night's #1 show, easily beating CELEBRITY FAMILY FEUD in the hour.

ABC did win the 10 PM hour, as $100,000 PYRAMID held its lead in audience and was up from its last original episode, two weeks earlier.

FOX and NBC were mostly in encores. AMERICAN GRIT, on FOX, was the second worst rated program of the night, INCLUDING encores. The new NBC Megyn kelly series barely topped the FOX animated encores, in the demos.
