US Box Office Results: June 9 - 11, 2017

WONER WOMAN holds off Tom Cruise's THE MUMMY to stay as the #1 movie in America. The DC Comics movie hauled in an additional $57.2 million, bringing its 10-day total to over $205 million. Worldwide, WW had collected $435 million.

The reboot of THE MUMMY took in $32.2 million, putting it on pace for around $100 million total, during its domestic release. In 1999, the Brandon Fraser movie, THE MUMMY, brought in over $43 million in its first weekend. The average cost per ticket was a lot less, 18 years ago, yet still out performs the new version of the franchise.

ALIEN: COVENANT looks to be the first summer blockbuster bomb, as this may be its last week in the top 10. After four weeks in theaters, the film has grossed just $71 million, domestically, on a #97 million production budget.
