NASCAR tops a very active weekend in cable sports programming, drawing a robust four million viewers, for FS1. The race was held at one of the more traditional and historic tracks, in Martinsville, VA.

Opening day for Major League Baseball, pushed all three games into the top 15, for ESPN. The primetime, Cubs vs Cardinals match up was tops in the A18-49 demographic, with a 1.2 rating, and drew 3.6 million viewers. The early game, Yanks vs Rays, brought in 1.3 million viewers and the late afternoon game, Giants vs D'backs, was just over one million.

The women's championship basketball game was the second most watched sports event of the weekend, collecting 3.8 million viewers, with a 6:10 start time. It did avoid most of the tougher competition, on Sunday night, but it still drew a strong number of viewers.
