Weekly CW Ratings: March 13 - 17, 2017

With two nights preempted, The CW saw significant erosion in the ratings, from the previous week. Monday night's Howie Mandel special drew about third less in the viewers and even less in the demos, than the combo of SUPERGIRL and JANE THE VIRGIN. Week-to-week, the losses were 60% in the A18-49 demographic and 40% in total viewers.

On Thursday night the losses were even greater, as SUPERNATURAL and THE 100 were preempted by two encores of THE VAMPIRE DIARIES. Viewership was off by 65% and the demo lost nearly 80%.

On Friday night, the season premiere of THE ORIGINALS fell into place where THE VAMPIRE DIARIES left off, drawing just above one million viewers and a 0.3 rating in Adults 18-49.

For the week, the CW averaged just 1.08 million viewers, a 0.3 rating in Adults 18-34 and A18-49 and a 0.4 rating in the older, A25-54 demographic.
