Final Broadcast Ratings: March 8, 2017

ABC, CBS and FOX battle it out for the Wednesday night leadership, where not a ingle program crossed 8 million total viewers or a 2.0 rating in Adults 18-49. NBC and The CW were both in encores.

The Premiere of SURVIVOR was a bit soft, drawing 7.6 million viewers and a 1.7 rating in Adults 18-49. Compared to last fall's premiere, viewership is off by 1.9 million viewers and the A18-49 demo is down 26%. Year-to-year, the 2016 spring premiere pulled just 700,000 more viewers and the demo up a little over 10% to last night's episode.

Following SURVIVOR, CRIMINAL MINDS: BEYOND BORDERS began its second season as the lowest rated original program of the night. It was second in the 10 PM time slot, losing to DESIGNATED SURVIVOR and barely topping a repeat episode of CHICAGO PD.

ON ABC, the spring premiere of DESIGNATED SURVIVOR picked up where it left off, three months ago. The ratings are nowhere near the series premiere, but those that stayed until December, returned in March.

FOX's two dramas kept it competitive on the night, tying ABC and CBS in the A18-34 demographic.
