Preliminary ratings: Sunday 10/30/2016

The day after a series low ratings, Game five of the World Series posted its best ratings of the series. Game five drew 21.5 million viewers and a 6.2 rating in Adults 18-49. That is 6.4 million more viewers and an increase in the A18-49 rating by 63%. Chicago won the game, forcing the series back to Cleveland, with Game Six being played on Tuesday Night.

SUNDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL was down. week-to-week, by close to one million viewers , but the three demographic ratings remained steady. Having a strong NFC Matchup of Dallas vs Philadelphia helped the ratings against the World Series, or the drop from last week may have been much larger.

CBS did about as expected, with the sports competition on the schedule. CBS had not problem sinking ABC to fourth place, with its weak Sunday line up.
