Preliminary Ratings: Monday 10/03/2016

Three of the Big 4 networks had season/series premieres, two of which should be pleased with their respective results. ABC's CONVICTION was last in its 10 PM time slot, grabbing just 5.4 million viewers and a 1.0 rating in Adults 18-49. Erosion from its DANCING WITH THE STARS lead in was nearly 50% in total viewers and over 40% in the A18-49 demo. It is not surprising that ABC placed third on the night.

NBC, the #1 network on the night, gave us the new sci-fi drama, TIMELESS, at 10 PM, and it drew 7.7 million viewers and a 1.9 rating in Adults 18-49. It and SCORPION were neck-and-neck in the three demographic categories. Retention out of THE VOICE was 66% in total viewers and 63% in the A18-49 demo. Compared to BLINDSPOT's series premiere, last fall, TIMELESS is off by about three million viewers and off by 40% in the demo.

The two hour season premiere of SCORPION, on CBS, was the most watched premiere of the night, with 9.1 million viewers. Demo retention from its KEVIN CAN WAIT lead in was 75% in the A18-49 and A25-54 demos. Compared to last year's premiere, SCORPION is down two million viewers and 18% in the A18-49 demographic.
