2016 Commercial Cost Survey: FOX

Ad Age has released its 2016 Commercial Cost Survey, showing the per average price for advertisers on a 30 second spot for each regular TV series. FOX boosts the most expensive scripted series on NETWORK TV, as EMPIRE commands $437,100 per 30 second commercial. It ranks 4th overall, behind three NFL programs. But, the series is down 12% from the prices it brought in last season. The EMPIRE lead in, LETHAL WEAPON, is the second most expensive program on the network, getting over $172k per spot. Not sure if that is justified or not, but FOX is asking for it.

On the bottom end, The Friday night programs occupy three of the four lowest spots, with new drama, THE EXORCIST getting just over $52,000 per spot. Things will improve when SLEEPY HOLLOW takes over the 9 PM slot, but only by $7,000.
