Amazon comedy pilot pickups:
Pilot season is over for Amazon has picked up THE TICK reboot, JEAN-CLAUDE VAN JOHNSON and I LOVE DICK.All three half-hour comedies will premiere on Amazon Prime in 2017.

Four & out:
FX announced that the horror series, THE STRAIN will return in 2017 for a fourth and final season.

TNT orderes HINGES:
TNT has ordered the race drama, HINGES, to series for 2017.

More BORN:
A&E has renewed the reality series, BORN THIS WAY, for a third season, in 2017.

Veteran newscast, Jane Pauley, has been named the new host of CBS SUNDAY MORNING, taking over for the retiring Charles Osgood.

First full season order, from NBC:
Of those series only getting 13 episode orders for 2016-17, SUPERSTORE is the first to get its back nine order, with NBC giving the comedy a full season order for this season.

Summer reality series, BETTER LATE THAN NEVER will be back for a second season, in 2017, as NBC renews the series.

New to late night - Freeform:
The Disney cable network, FreeForm, is developing a late night program, with comedian Iliza Shlesinger. No details on format, schedule or premiere of the developing series.

More DICE:
Despite ultra-low ratings, Showtime has ordered a second season of the comedy series, DICE, for 2017.
