Preliminary Ratings: Thursday, 09/08/2016

As expected, NBC dominated the Thursday night ratings, with the kick-off game of the NFL season. The SNF match, featuring a rematch of Super Bowl 50, drew 23.3 million viewers and a 8,5 rating in Adults 18-49. that is currently over four million less viewers nearly two full points in the demo, than last year's kick-off game. However, expect the numbers to grow once finale ratings are released tonight.

The only other original program of the night was CBS' Thursday edition of BIG BROTHER. The numbers were down from the average, but not by very much. That allowed CBS to come in second on the night, topping ABC and FOX.
