Final Broadcast Ratings: September 8, 2016

As expected, NBC dominated the Thursday night ratings, with the kick-off game of the NFL season. The SNF match, featuring a rematch of Super Bowl 50, drew 25.2 million viewers and a 9.4 rating in Adults 18-49. that is two million less viewers a full point in the demo, than last year's kick-off game.

The only other original program of the night was CBS' Thursday edition of BIG BROTHER. The numbers were down from the average, but not by very much considering the football competition. That allowed CBS to come in second on the night, topping ABC and FOX.
