ABC snapped the long running steak of weekly wins by NBC, thanks two two strong college football games, over the weekend. The Notre Dame at Texas game (#2), on a Sunday night, brought in 11 million viewers and the week's top numbers in all three demographic categories, including a 3.3 rating in Adults 18-49. The kick-off to the weekly Saturday night game placed 4th overall, with 7.9 million viewers and a 2.1 rating in the A18-34 demographic. Overall, ABC placed six programs in the top 30, representing half of its scheduled hourly programming.

NBC was not far behind ABC. It was just 20,000 total viewers short of ABC and tied them in total households. NBC placed eight program in the top 30, representing 14 hours of the 22 hour schedule, including the #1 show of the week, AMERICA'S GOT TALENT. The season finale of THE NIGHT SHIFT ranked 12th overall and the Sunday night NASCAR Race was 23rd.

CBS was a distant third, with no special or event programming to help boost its numbers. Only the three hours of BIG BROTHER managed to top a 1.0 rating in the A18-49 demo and an encore of NCIS was the most watched, with under 7.5 million viewers. The network did placed a total of 14 shows (12.5 hours) in the top 30, including the two hour finale of ZOO, at #21.

What can be said about FOX that has not already been said? They are drifting close and closer to CW territory than being competitive with the Big three networks. Only the two episodes of MASTERCHEF made the top 30, ranking 26th and 28th. FOX's third best show only drew 2/6 million viewers.
