Weekly CW Ratings: August 8 - 12, 2016

The first full week of the Olympic Games, on NBC, took its toll on The CW. The network saw viewership drop week-to-week and the A25-54 demographic lost 35%. Only SUPERGIRL, PENN & TELLER and the lone original episode of WHOSE LINE? managed to draw a million or more viewers. PENN & TELLER was tops for the network, with 1.4 million viewers.

SUPERGIRL still looks like a winner for The CW as the encore episodes are still doing better then new episodes of regular season series, in either time slot.

On the opposite end of the spectrum, MAD TV has to be considered the bomb of the summer. Even with THE FLASH as its lead in, only 600k viewers tuned in this week to see the sketch comedy show.

For the week, The CW averaged just 880,000 viewers, a 0.2 rating in Adults 18-34, and a 0.3 rating in both A18-49 and A25-54 demos.
