Preliminary Ratings: Wednesday 08/24/2016

For the 20th night in a row, NBC wins the night in all categories. AMERICA'S GOT TALENT was the night's #1 show, collecting 10.5 million viewers and a 2.1 rating in Adults 18-49. That is up from its August 3rd airing, the last before the Olympics, by 1.1 million viewers and just under 20% in the demo. THE NIGHT SHIFT was also up by 600k in viewership and 22% in the demo.

FOX, surprisingly, was the #2 network of the night, thanks to two new episodes of MASTERCHEF. The cooking series averaged 4.1 million viewers on the night and scored a 1.3 rating in Adults 18-49, edging past CBS.

BIG BROTHER was competitive against AGT, just one-tenth of point behind in the A18-49 demo and was #1 in the younger, A18-34 demographic. BIG BROTHER did win its 8 PM time slot.

ABC was all repeats on the night, including a two hour marathon of THE GOLDBERGS, from 8 to 10 PM.
