Preliminary Ratings: Thursday 08/11/2016

The sixth night of Olympic competition drew a healthy 31.3 million viewers and  8.9 rating in Adults 18-49. that is up nearly five million viewers and 1.2 points in the demo, from the previous night's NBC numbers. Compared to 2012, the sixth night of the London games collected 36.8 million viewers and a 11.9 rating in the demo.

BIG BANG and BIG BROTHER push CBS to a solid second place finish, averaging a 1.3 rating in Adults 18-49, for the night. Looking at the two shows in 2012, BIG BANG drew more viewers last night and equaled its A18-49 rating. BIG BROTHER was down 10% in the demo, but up about 400,000 in total viewers.

ABC should end up topping both The CW and FOX, as the number look to indicate local sports preemptions in some CW and FOX markets.
