Preliminary Ratings: Sunday 08/07/2016

Night two of Olympic competition collected an average of 29.7 million viewers and a 9.0 rating in Adults 18-49. Compared to the first Sunday night of the London Olympics, in 2012, NBC is dow 6.4 million viewers and 22% in the demo.

BIG BROTHER was the only show that actually competed against the Olympic, with the Sunday night edition drawing 5.2 million viewers and a 1.5 rating in the A18-49 demo. That is only down two tenths of a point in the demo and 600,000 total viewers, from last Sunday's numbers. BIG BROTHER did allow CBS to be second place on the night, edging out an all-repeat night of ABC.

The FOX comedy encores did little to compete in the ratings, averaging just one million viewers on the night.
