Final Broadcast Ratings: May 4, 2016

FOX and CBS split the Wednesday night leadership, with FOX easily taking all three key demographics and CBS drawing the most viewers. FOX saw hits "mega-hit" drama, EMPIRE, drop under 10 million viewers for the first time this spring and just the third time ever.

The season finale of CRIMINAL MINDS, on CBS, performed well, but still placed third in the A18-49 demographic, for the 9 PM hour. Compared to last year's finale, viewership is down by 800,000, but the A18-49 demo remained steady at a 1.8 rating.

ABC's comedy block had a good night, for the first week in MayMODERN FAMILY had the night's #2 rating in Adults 18-49, with a 2.2 score. NASHVILLE is still the weak point of the night, finishing a distant third at 10 PM and basically tying HEARTBEAT for the worst numbers from a big foru network program.

NBC was a distant fourth place, finishing about 33% behind ABC's third place numbers and more than 50% behind FOX's demo ratings.
