  • Netflix picks up series
  • HBO series end in 2017
  • Yahoo ends streaming service

Netflix orders psych thriller:
Netflix has given a 10 episode order to the psychology thriller series, GYPSY. The series will debut in 2017.



GIRLS to end after Six:
The HBO series, GIRLS, will end after its sixth season, sometime in 2017. The series is about to start its 5th season, on HBO.



Yahoo ends video service:
As the executives try to figure out what to do with the core business of YAHOO, the company shut down its YAHOO Screen platform. The platform was home to the final season of COMMUNITY, but never was able to draw a viewer base that Netflix, Amazon or even Hulu has been able to attract.



More ELLEN:
The daytime talk show, ELLEN, has been picked up and will be on the air through 2020.



E! renews sophomore series:
After just ending its second season, E! has renewed ROYALS for a 3rd season, in 2016.



More MARY JANE:
BET has renewed the series BEING MARY JANE for a 4th season.
