THE AMERICANS has been given a 13 episode, fourth season order by FX, for 2016.
FOX renews sitcom:
Low rated, but highly touted, sitcom, NEW GIRL was renewed by a fifth season by FOX.
Netflix renews freshman series:
The new series BLOODLINE was given the greenlight, by Netflix, for a second season.
Showtime gets into the renewal game:
The Don Cheadle series HOUSE OF LIES was renewed for a 10 episode, fifth season, by Showtime.
Discovery also renews a series:
UNTOLD STORIES OF THE ER was renewed for a second season, by Discovery Live Channel.

Charter to buy Brighthouse:
If the merger of Comcast and Time Warner Cable happens, Charter Communications will purchase the #6 cable provider, Brighthouse Networks, for $10.4 billion. The deal will put Charter as the #2 cable provider in the nation.

IFC has given the greenlight to the hockey comedy, BENDERS. The series eight episodes will premiere later this year.
