With another big TV event, CBS sweeps the weekly ratings, for the second week in a row. The ACM AWARDS was the week's most watched program, with 16 million viewers and the second highest rated program in the A18-49 ratings, with a 3.6 score. CBS dominated the top of the chart, producing the top four programs, 14 of the top 17 and a total of 18 shows in the top 30. Only two hours of programming (saturday night encores) fell outside the top 40.
The strong showing pushes CBS to within one tenth of a ratings point, in the season-to-date A18-49 ratings, behind NBC, and just 190,00 viewers within that demographic separate the two networks. It may come down to just how strong can THE VOICE finale be, in the ratings.

ABC was a respectable second, trailing CBS in each category. The network had eight shows in the top 30, including the #5 show of the week, in DANCING WITH THE STARS. DWRS is the most watched reality program on the chart.

NBC and FOX battled it out for 4th place, with the two networks tying in the A18-49 demo. NBC did edge FOX in the other three categories, but not by much. Between the two networks, they only managed four top 30 shows, with AMERICAN IDOL being the only FOX entry. NBC should perk up next week, with most of its better shows returning to original episodes.
