2015 is turning out to be a good year for FOX. Without any football help, FOX was the top network in both the A18-49 and A25-54 demographic categories, and second in total viewers. The success of EMPIRE and the slight uptick of AMERICAN IDOL is helping turn a horrible year for FOX, into a fairly decent year.
FOX place four program in the top 30, with three in the top 10. IDOL placed 3rd and 7th. EMPIRE was the #5 dhow of the week, and the series premiere of BACKSTROM placed 24th. IDOL and EMPIRE were the top three shows in the A18-49 demo chart. Add that to the decent showings of shows like GOTHAM and MASTERCHEF JUNIOR and FOX could rise to third on the season, behind CBS and NBC.
CBS was the most watched network, Tied for #1 in the A25-54 demo and tops in households. It had the top two shows of the week, with SCORPION rising to the top of the chart as the most watched program. CBS had 20 of the top 23 shows. Only three programs fell outside the top 40.
ABC and NBC battled it out for third, with NBC edging it out for the #3 spot. Neither network managed a top 20 program and both placed just three shows in the top 30. THE BACHELOR and THE MISS UNIVERSE PAGEANT were each network's top programs, respectively. Of course, NBC will surge to the top spot, next week, thanks to SUPER BOWL XLIX, this Sunday.
The CW just missed having a top 30 program, in the A18-49 ratings, as THE FLASH placed 31st on the week.
