Primetime Cable Ratings: November 19, 2014

DUCK DYNASTY is back for a seventh season, but it is not the huge hit it once was. The season premiere episodes generated just 2.6 million viewers and a 1.0 rating in Adults 18-49. In January of this year, the 5th season premiere collected 8.5 million viewers and a 3.3 demo rating. That was down about 35% from the season four opener. Season six continued the downward spiral when just 4.6 million viewers tuned into the first episode of the season, in the middle of June. So, in a little less than a year, DUCK DYNASTY has lost 5.9 million viewers and 70% of the A18-49 audience.

Following DD was the new series COUNTRY BUCK$, a series similar to DUCK DYNASTY, but with deers, not ducks. The series opener ranked #10 on the night, getting two million viewers to tune in. Considering the average lead in the DUCK DYNASTY now provides, COUNTRY BUCKS retention looks pretty decent, with 80% in the A18-49 ratings.

AMERICAN PICKERS was the #2 show of the night, bringing in 3.2 million viewers, against DUCK DYNASTY. However, the series only posted a 0.6 rating in the demo.

The top show of the night was AMERICAN HORROR STORY, rebounding from last week's season low numbers. The series added 250k in total viewers, from last week, for 3.9 million on the night. the demo ratings rose from 1.8 to a 2.0, over the week.
