Primetime Cable Ratings: October 16, 2014

The final game of the NATIONAL LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIP SERIES was Thursday night's top program, capturing 4.9 million viewers and a 1.2 demo rating. The Giants took the series 4-1, and head off to face the KC Royals in the World Series. That series begins on Tuesday night, ON FOX.

THURSDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL on the NFL Network still manages to grab some viewers that do not care to catch the game on CBS. 2.9 million of the viewers caught the game on the cable network, making it the second most watched program of the night. It also tied the NLCS, with a 1.2 rating, in the A18-49 demographic.

Most of the remaining chart is reruns and repeats. BIG BANG and LAW & ORDER each did well for their respective networks.
