Preliminary Ratings: Thursday 10/23/14

The last game of THURSDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL on CBS, had an easy time winning the night by pulling in over 15 million viewers and a 4.8 rating in Adults 18-49. It was one of the few primetime games that was not a blowout and should have a great final number. Overall, TNF was a success for CBS and they really upped the coverage and production value of the telecast. The NFL Network takes the balance of the schedule for itself, but CBS will still be producing the games.

ABC was a clear second place as all three of their programs were easily the second best in each hour. GREY'S ANATOMY and SCANDAL saw slight gains in both rated categories, but HOW TO GET AWAY WITH MURDER dropped over 10% in the A18-49. How much of a drop, if any, will ABC experience when regular programming returns to CBS?

NBC and FOX were non factors of the night. FOX ran a repeat of BONES, further hurting the numbers for GRACEPOINT. NBC saw losses across the board for all four shows.

Preliminary L+SD Network Averages:
ABC - 9.5 million viewers, 2.8 rating in A18-49
