Live + 3 Day Released for Wednesday 09/24/14

Someone at ABC needs to update their formula for projecting out the Live+3 day ratings. For the third day in a row, ABC's projections underestimated what the actual numbers came to be. Both MODERN FAMILY and BLACK-ISH exceeded their estimates by seven tenths of a point, and BLACK-ISH was 1.5 million viewers show on the projections. Overall, ABC had a good Wednesday night.

NBC's numbers were mostly on target, despite no projections for THE MYSTERIES OF LAURA. The new crime drama, pulled in just a 1.9 demo rating, ahead of only the FOX programs, and could end up last of the Big 4 in the not to distant future.

LAW & ORDER: SVU and second year drama CHICAGO PD had strong premieres and good L+3 ratings, but those numbers should come down in week two, when the CBS dramas premiere.

FOX may have had the lowest ratings of the Big 4, but RED BAND SOCIETY added 64% more A18-49 viewers, after three days of viewing. So far, that is the best performance by any series, during premiere week.
