2014 Commercial Cost Survey: CBS

Adage has released the 2014 fall commercial cost survey, detailing the average cost of one network commercial spot for each of the shows from this season's fall schedule. Here is a look at the CBS chart of advertising costs per spot.

CBS may only have two of the ten series with the most expensive commercial costs, but they occupy the #2 and #3 spots. New comer THURSDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL approaches a half million per 30 second spot, for a three+ hour program.

The #1 broadcast entertainment program, THE BIG BANG THEORY, not only commands nearly $345,000 per commercial, it was able to increase its price by $18k, from last year.

The biggest year-to-year gainer is THE MILLERS, jumping its per unit cost by more than $35,000. The largest lost per spot belongs to TWO AND A HALF MEN, dropping its price by $57,000. All the Friday through Sunday programs represent the lowest prices on the network.
