Complete Nielsen Ratings: August 18 - 24, 2014
The full Nielsen rankings and ratings from #1 to #88:
CBS was first place in all five reported ratings categories, thank to two NFL games on Friday night and Saturday night. The games themselves didn't to great numbers, with Friday night placing 19th and Saturday night placing 30th. But, the ratings were huge improvements over the repeat programming that usually occupies those nights.
CBS claimed the three top programs in A81-49 ratings, with all three episodes of BIG BROTHER taking the spots. The Sunday night episodes posted a season best 2.5 rating.
CBS placed 16 programs in the top 30, with only four other shows outside that range. All but one show was in the top 40.
NBC tied CBS in two of the demographic categories and finished second on the other three. The network had the two most watched programs of the week, as two editions of AMERICA'S GOT TALENT drew close to 9.5 million viewers each. Sunday Night Football placed 8th, to round up the networks top 10 list. In total, NBC had nine shows in the top 30, including FOOD FIGHTERS at #29.
ABC and FOX, once again battled each other for the #3 spot. FOX topped ABC in the specific demographic categories, while ABC drew more total viewers and households.
ABC had just three shows in the top 30, with ROOKIE BLUE leading the way at #21. FOX was able to go under that total with just two top 30 programs, with the NFL overrun and MASTER CHEF placing 13th and 14th, respectively.
