Preliminary Ratings: Tuesday 07/22/14

NBC premiered the new relaity series FOOD FIGHTERS, on Tuesday night, and the numbers are disappointing. Just 4.6 million viewers and a 1.0 rating in Adults 18-49 tuned into the new show. It was #2 in the 8 p.m. time slot, beating the FOX comedies and ABC's EXTREME WEIGHT LOSS, but could not top an encore episode of NCIS. Given the weak competition of the hour, FOOD FIGHTERS should have done much better in the hour.

AMERICA'S GOT TALENT was back with a new episode, now 9 to 11 p.m., and posted the nights best numbers, in both categories. But, the numbers are down from it's last Tuesday night original episode, three weeks earlier. Viewership is down 850,000 and the demo ratings are off by 8%. It is still #1, but a weaker #1.

ABC was the only other network with original episodes, but the ratings results did not reward the effort. EXTREME WEIGHT LOSS was a third place program, behind NBC and CBS. The season finale of CELEBRITY WIFE SWAP was last, in the 10 p.m. hour, in viewership and barely edged PERSON OF INTEREST for 2nd in the demo ratings.

CBS - 6.7 million viewers, 0.8 rating in A18-49

CW - 0.8 million viewers, 0.3 rating in A18-49

FOX - 1.3 million viewers, 0.5 rating in A18-49

NBC - 8.4 million viewers, 2.0 rating in A18-49
