Final Broadcast Ratings: July 30, 2014

CW finally had some good summer news as the new series PENN & TELLER: FOOL US performed relatively great for it's series premiere. The opening episode generated 1.8 million viewers and a 0.5 rating in Adults 18-49. It is right up there with the WHOSE LINE IS IT ANYWAY? ratings, which have been the class of the network, this summer.

CBS tied NBC for the A18-49 ratings, on the strength of BIG BROTHER. BB16 drew a 2.3 demo rating, beating the one hour AMERICA'S GOT TALENT, on NBC. That is on par with last week's numbers, while AGT dropped two tenths of a ratings point, from last Wednesday.

The move of EXTANT to 10 p.m. flattened out the new series ratings and helped it win for the top spot in the hour. The move also helped boost the CBS nightly average, as the CRIMINAL MINDS encore was up two tenths of a ratings point, over last week's 10 p.m. episode.

TAXI BROOKLYN held onto over 90% of it's previous week's audience, dropping slightly from last Wednesday.

Things are not looking good for ABC. It's lone original program of the night, MOTIVE, was the lowest rated show of the network. The night included four repeat comedy episodes as the drama's lead in.
