Final broadcast Ratings: July 25, 2014

CBS, ABC and NBC all had things to boast about with the final Friday night ratings. CBS was the most watched network, drawing 5.4 million viewers, and had the most watched program of the night in BLUE BLOODS. NBC had the top program with DATELINE collecting over six million viewers a getting 1.1 demo rating, over two hours. And, ABC was the best network, in the demo ratings, with a 1.0 average over the three full hours.

The News magazines continue to do well in the summer. 20/20 and DATELINE battle for the night's best numbers and WWYD? is not to far behind the veterans. I am surprised CBS has not tried to put 48 HOURS on the night to get in on the competition.

The CW did relatively well as the encore of the COLIN & BRAD comedy special did about twice the numbers REIGN had been doing in recent weeks. The CW should look into that reboot project of IN LIVING COLOR and match it up with WHOSE LINE IS IT ANY WAY next summer.
