CBS still had the more consistent line up through Thanksgiving. the season to date averages, in late November, were CBS ahead of ABC by a 0.5 ratings point. NBC was almost 2 full points behind, in third and the young FOX network was a full 6 points back.

The hot new show of the season was GRACE UNDER FIRE. It regularly ranked in the top 10 each week 25+ million viewers each week.

THE X-FILES buzz had not caught on yet. By November, it was usually ranking in the mid-70's or low 80's and barely drawing 10 million viewers, on a good night.

  2. Thanks, again ! Glad to see Loïs & Clark's ratings. Maybe with 1994 and 1995 years I'll understand why it ended after only 4 seasons :(

  3. Like most series that had a "forbidden" romance, in the beginning, it allowed the characters to get together and the magic was lost. it lost the tension that was between Lois and Clark.

  4. I remember the heavily hyped battle between Lois and Clark and seaQuest, ultimately it was handed over to L&C following a strong start for seaQuest.

Also, while I wouldn't call it a classic, Diagnosis Murder began during the 93-94 season and developed roughly 178 episodes over 7 or 8 seasons.
