MasterChef - A Kindler, Gentler Gordon Ramsey

I admit, I am a Gordon Ramsey fan. I see that there is more to the Celebrity Chef than just the yelling and cursing at cooks, chefs and restaurant owners. He does truly love food and it being to perfection. Master Chef America showed America this other side of his personality.

The format of this series was a competition of amateur cooks to rise to the title of "Master Chef." Think Top Chef for you and me. Gordan Ramsey's role was that of main host, but also as teacher and mentor.

Yes, If Gordon tasted a dish that was awful, he would let the person know. But he didn't yell at them or string a line of obscenity that was a mile long, at them. He gave them the reasons why the food sucked.

Throughout this series, Gordon, and the other two professional chefs, would help give pointers to the competitors, let them know what may be the better way to do their dish or even put their arms around them to give them confidence.

A more personal Gordon Ramsey came through in Master Chef. I cant wait for a second season of the series. It is a fun format to watch. It is interesting to see the better cooks grow in skills as the competition progresses. it is perfect summer series for FOX!
